The Colorado Engineering Council is one of the sponsors of this yearly event that showcases the creative ideas of student across Colorado, in grades six through twelve, related to science and engineering. CEC has two members on the board that help coordinate the judging activities of the event on a yearly basis. National Engineers Week is a national event meant to recognize the impact of engineering on the general society. There are several national initiatives that occur year. You can visit the National Engineers Week website at http://www.eweek.org/. Our local events in which the Colorado Engineering Council helps co-sponsor for Colorado include our annual recognition and celebration dinner.

National Engineers Week Dinner
This event allows all of Colorado to gather and celebrate Engineering in Colorado. Besides recognizing the Honor and Gold Medal Award winners in Colorado Engineering, we now partner with the Society of Women Engineers Rocky Mountain Section to yearly bestow the Order of the Engineers on new Colorado Members. The event also features a speaker willing to talk about an engineering related topic in terms that all of the family members understand.

The Colorado Engineering Council (CEC) needs your help in finding qualified Coloradoans for two of Colorado’s highest Achievement Awards in the Engineering, Science or related professions. 

CEC is authorized to present CERTIFICATE of HONOR AWARDS and a GOLD MEDAL AWARD annually to Colorado citizens in recognition of superior and outstanding achievement, respectively. 

Nominations for these awards MUST be made by a Constituent or Associate Member Organization of CEC, a Council member or the Gold Medal and Honor Awards Committee.

Schools qualified for a Certificate of Merit for engineering technology are:

• DeVry University - Westminster
• Metropolitan State College of Denver
